DON’T WORRY, YOU’RE COVERED

Paying for Palliative Care

Palliative care is a great option if you have a serious, long-term illness. At Mission Healthcare, we are dedicated to helping our patients receive the best and most affordable care possible, which is why we work with many insurance companies and policies.

EASY WAYS YOU CAN PAY

Payment Options

Medicare and many private insurance plans cover the cost of palliative care. This coverage is different from the hospice care benefit.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE
Every financial situation is different in regard to who pays for palliative care, so we recommend contacting your insurance company to review the specifics of your coverage, plan, deductibles, and co-pays.

VETERAN BENEFITS
Since Palliative Care is part of the VHA Standard Medical Benefits Package, all enrolled Veterans are eligible IF they meet the clinical need for the service. Copays may be charged for Palliative Care. You can learn more by contacting a VA representative or by visiting the United States Department of Veterans Affairs website.

Every situation is unique. While these are the most common ways that our hospice services are paid for, this does not cover every possible scenario. Contact us to discuss other payment options.
